Let me tell you more….

I’m a native of New York born in the Bronx and lived in Mt. Vernon NY up until 1986, now currently residing in Atlanta GA.

My sewing Journey began as a 7 year old inspired by my mother and receiving my 1st sewing machine from my uncle for Christmas. The creativity is what attracted me to wanting to learn and the skill continued to be groomed as I got older and set off on my official journey into learning how to tailor, sew and design by nurturing myself with a major in fashion design and a minor in business administration in college. I spent several summers as an intern in a Ralph Lauren Factory actually constructing clothing for retail as well as spent a summer in Washington DC being mentored by a tailor/seamstress that had the 1st Lady of the President of the United States as a client. I graduated college earning a Bachelors of Science Degree in Fashion Design with a minor in Business. I invested 33 years working for “Big Blue” International Business Machines (IBM), but always kept my hands on my Tailoring/Sewing/Fashion skill for my family and special events always continuing to increase my knowledge and remain current with fashion trends as well as enhancing my skills.

After retiring from Corporate in August 2016 I returned to my Creative Passion FULL time and decided to pursue it for Profit creating my current business “Tailored Affects” with over 45 years of experience to include but not limited to working in a sewing factory, millinery, design, pattern making, tailoring, alterations, hosting fashion shows, creating wedding & bridesmaid gowns, men suits, accessories and children’s clothing just to name a few.

I view clothing as more than just something to cover the external body but something that speaks to your internal as well.

Fashion Wellness is really a thing.... and my goal is to help my clients uncover and reach their potential in this area by teaming with them to fuse my knowledge of style, fit, textures, dimensions, colors and techniques with the look and feel they want to achieve that compliments them best.
